World Bank approves $550 million loan for Pakistan

WASHINGTON: The World Bank said Friday that a $550 million loan for Pakistan had been approved. The loan is to be used towards education and the natural gas sector.
The government of Punjab will be provided $350 million to be used towards education and it is expected that these funds will benefit at least 8 million students in the province.
Meanwhile the federal government will receive $200 million for the exploration of natural gas
